What data we collect
Purchase data
When you buy a Pro licence, our payment processor Paddle collects your name, email address, and payment details. Data Active receives only your name and email — solely to deliver your licence key. We never see or store your card details.
Query data
When you submit a question in Quantelis AI DataChat, the following is sent to Data Active’s proxy server and then to Anthropic’s Claude AI to generate your answer:
- Your typed question
- A sample of your Power BI report data (up to your tier’s row limit — 50 rows free, 500 rows Pro)
- Your licence key (to verify your tier)
This data is not stored. It is discarded as soon as your answer is returned.
Usage metadata
We log anonymous counters per licence key — query counts, token usage, and timestamps. These logs contain no question text or report data. They exist solely to enforce rate limits and monitor our running costs.
Website data
Standard server access logs (IP address, browser, pages visited). No tracking cookies. No third-party analytics.

Quantelis AI DataChat uses the following sub-processors to deliver the service:

Anthropic does not use your data to train AI models.
International data transfers
Our proxy server is hosted in the EU (Microsoft Azure, Netherlands). Your query data is forwarded to Anthropic in the United States. This transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) under GDPR Article 46.
If you are in Asia or the Middle East, regional deployments may be available that keep your data in-region. Contact us to confirm.
How long we keep your data

Your rights
Depending on your location you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict processing.

Security
All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. API keys and credentials are stored as server environment variables, never in code. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulator within 72 hours where required by law.
Changes to this policy
We will notify Pro licence holders of any material changes by email. The current version is always at https://quantelisai.com/privacy-policy.
